Overview
The Year 1 garden brief is the dining zone (table, bench, chairs, rug, awning) and a small lounge zone off the SW patio extension. This page is the dining + lounge + rug menu only. Awning and pizza oven are separate.
Aesthetic anchor
Japandi / quiet luxury. Warm teak, restrained palette, linen-look upholstery, black metal as accent. The inspiration set is Manutti Sunrise / Tribu Ukiyo / Tribu Illum / Manutti Muyu.
Layout the menu was built around
- Bench on one long side, chairs only on the opposite side and at the two heads (carvers). So a 285cm table seats 10 with a 235cm bench (4) + 4 long-side chairs + 2 carvers = 6 chairs.
- Lounge zone: 2 chairs + a side / coffee table on the 2.5×2m patio extension.
What was eliminated, and why
- Mid-tier table mirage - Cane-line Aspect, Gloster Carver, Indian Ocean Marina all priced over £5k once configured. There is no genuine "mid-tier" table in this aesthetic except Garpa Preston.
- Tribu Vis-à-Vis lounge chair - doesn't exist. The collection has only a sofa and a sun lounger.
- Manutti Cape, Manutti Mood lounge - Cape doesn't exist; Mood discontinued.
- Manutti Sandua lounge, Carl Hansen BK11, Cane-line Diamond, Houe Avon - rejected on style or comfort grounds.
- Tikamoon Joaquin bench - has a backrest. Bench must be backless.
- Skagerak Drachmann bench, Skagerak Plank bench - both have backrests.

Why pick A: if the Manutti Sunrise look in the inspiration photos is what you both fell for, this is the only pack that delivers it literally. Brushed teak top + matched bench is the strongest single visual signature in the brief.
Tradeoffs: highest-priced pack at 6-carver. Brushed teak shows water marks initially (silvers uniformly over time). Cushions store in winter (Muyu, Nami). Lead time 10-14wk from Belgium unless Quickship in stock.

Tradeoffs: Illum is slimmer-profile than Ukiyo or Sunrise. Less "weighty presence" at the heads of the table - C2 upgrade addresses that. Senja hemp-linen is more textile-led than the rope-led Manutti lounges.
